The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the wildly successful The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in 2017, and it seems the same is true of its successor.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players will travel through much of the same locations in this version of Hyrule, with a few tweaks, such as having islands in the sky to contend with, plus with different new forces. So, for those who are just starting their adventure, read on to grasp some important tips to know when playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Turn on Pro HUD
There are 2 options that players should use as soon as they gain control of Link. First, switch the jump button from X on the Switch controller to REMOVE. Using X to run will be a bit difficult, but it will not be as difficult as using X to jump.
Next, go to menu HUD and choose option Pro. This will turn off all elements on the HUD so that players can experience The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as a more spectacular canvas and thus make it more immersive.
Follow the story until Purah’s Quest is completed
It would be tempting to start exploring right away but there are reasons to follow the story up to a certain point. Do all the story content and Purah will hand over the Paraglider. This allows the player to traverse the area in the air like in the original game.
Although there is a story mission after that, gamers should consider before really dig deep. Head to Rito Village and do those quests with Tulin, which will end with getting the incredible wind gust ability to aid Paragliding in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Explore anywhere on the map
As is the case with many open world games, the player needs to climb several towers. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they are called Skyview Towers and are more accessible than the previous game.
Players who gain access to them all will easily find out where they are. Plus lots of great quests that open up on the way to some like Hestu around the Hyrule Ridge area. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hetsu will upgrade Link’s arsenal, bows, and shields for Korok Seeds.
